“The Effect of Brexit”

When I was living on my campervan last year I liked to visit a different place every day, speak to its people, get its vibe.  In one particular small town I found the vibe to be insular, wary, suspicious.  And I wondered if this xenophobia was a backlash of Brexit.  For example in one small town I spotted a sign saying there was a Secret Bunker.  My interest was piqued, so on London Road I stopped a man and said, “Excuse me, where is the Secret Bunker?”  “I’m not telling you,” he said.
